Rainbarrel? New Pioneers is taking local orders for rainbarrels. Made of 55-gallon recycled blue vinyl drums, the rainbarrels feature a 3/4 inch metal faucet at bottom to which a hose can be attached, an overflow valve at the top, and a 5 foot length of 4 inch flexible pipe with an adapter that attaches to your downspout. Suggested donation: $40 for the complete set.
Farmer’s Market Jamboree - July 30 - Live music, games, fun, and great food! New Pioneers Board and friends will be grillin’ Rising Sons Farm beef and Stone Run Farms brats, Michelle Moore’s sweet corn. St. Catharine Motherhouse is providing a fabulous tomato, cucumber, onion salad from their garden. Get your family or friends together and come on over. 5:00 - 8:30 pm at Farmers Market at the Depot, behind the new Judicial Center in downtown Springfield.
